May 22, 2012 - Cocoa Village to New Smyrna Beach

Started the day off at 0315 to watch the Space X launch of the Falcon 9 rocket and the Dragon spacecraft from Cape Canavaral.  The illumination of the sky was incredible from our slip at Cocoa Village Marina about 5 miles from launch site.

We then grabbed a couple more hours of sleep and said goodbye to Cocoa Village - we'll definitely be back...


Next destination is New Smyrna Beach - mom and baby dolphin accompanied us for about a mile... what a treat watching them ride alongside us...

We passed Cape Canavaral - site of the Space X launch then passed through the Haulover Canal - a narrow beautiful cut filled with wildlife.
