Pulled out early to take advantage of a favorable current
across Delaware Bay. Saw the top speed
on the trip thus far – 12 knots! Spent a
couple of days in Cape May awaiting our weather window for the Atlantic. A big town with lots of Victorian Era homes. We made it out to the beach for free as no
one was there to collect the usual $6 fee to access the beach for the day. We also did lots of biking and made it out to
the lighthouse and point where we learned of Cape May diamonds and even found a
few.
Sunrise over Delaware Bay
Amos' favorite spot in bad weather
It looks llike the middle of the ocean, but this lighthouse is out in Delaware Bay.
You can just barelly see land in the distance.
Finally we can get our toes in the sand.
Beautiful Victorian homes.

"Hey lady, come on back - its just a friendly sand shark!!"
