May 19-20, 2013 - Oxford to St. Michaels

 Oxford:
We pulled out in overcast and foggy conditions, but determined to make some headway as the winds were due to lift some.  The sailboats were beautiful in the Choptank, which was much larger than imagined.  This is the region that James Michener wrote about in his historical novel, The Chesapeake.  I was looking forward to following his footsteps in Oxford and enjoying what was touted as the best crab cake on the Chespeake in the Robert Morris Inn tavern.

Oxford... a sleepy little town...

St Michaels:
We anchored out on the back side of St. Michaels at San Domingo anchorage #3 and dinghyed into town.  Met up with Qs Cabin and went to the Crab Claw restaurant along with Barefootn and DSea.  Awoke early to crab fishermen hard at work around us.
